Easy Crockpot Recipes For Toddlers

Crockpots are a great way to save time and energy while ensuring healthy homemade meals are on the table for your family. Also, contrary to belief, recipes made using a crockpot can be a great option for the entire year.  Crockpot can be a great option during the winter providing hearty and warm meals while keeping gas/electric bills down by avoiding using your stove. On the other hand, they can produce light, refreshing dishes when it’s hot out while helping to avoid heating up your kitchen by continuing to keep your stove off.   As an added bonus, many recipes can be prepped in one day for the entire week! Here are a few of my favorite easy crockpot recipes for toddlers with links to the recipes.

Southwest Chicken

This is a really good chicken crockpot meal I have had a lot of success making. Chicken can be tricky in a crockpot as it can get dried out easily so its important to keep it at the bottom while its cooking. I have also made this with salsa instead of canned tomatoes as the recipe suggests.

Beef Stew

This is an awesome recipe for beef stew in a crockpot. It has tons of flavor and is so easy! I have made this with added celery and garlic.

Lemon Chicken

Super easy with only 5 ingredients! You can literally put this one together in minutes and get out the door and on with your day!

Coconut Curry Beef

This one takes a little bit more work browning the meat ahead of time but the effort is worth it. A lot of flavor and something a little different from my usual "go-to” meals.

Crockpot Chili

Really great recipe! A few more steps with this one too, but you can easily do it ahead of time.

Vegetarian Chili

This is a great recipe for vegetarians, vegans, or even people who are just trying to incorporate more vegetables and cut out some meat! Loaded with flavor and plenty of protein from the beans!

Barbecue Chicken

This chicken is delicious - so moist and it’s perfect for those moments when you don’t have a lot of groceries in the house because it requires ingredients most people generally have collecting dust in their pantry.  Pair it with some steamed broccoli and rice and you have a great meal everyone will enjoy.

Cranberry Glazed Chicken

When I first made this I had no idea what to expect but believe me, it’s amazing! It comes out a sweet barbecue chicken that’s loaded with flavor.  I suggest doubling the recipe as my husband and I love it so much, we finish the whole thing in one meal!

Black Bean Taco Salad

This is an awesome meal that can be great any time of the year.  Light and healthy but still filling you up, this recipe became a favorite instantly.

Chicken Tortellini Soup

This is a great twist to the classic chicken noodle and requires very minimal prep for an added bonus.

Chicken Enchilada Casserole

Wonderful option that can be served as is or over lettuce or chips!

Texas Pulled Pork

Have a party you need to bring a dish to? Let the crockpot do the work for you with this crowd pleaser. Serve with buns and you have an easy meal everyone will enjoy.

Chicken and Dumplings

A friend made this for me once and I immediately needed the recipe. Warm and hearty, yet simple enough that even the pickiest of eaters in your house will enjoy.

Honey Garlic Chicken

Love this meal for when I am trying to satisfy my family’s cravings for Asian cuisine.  Serve with brown rice or make homemade fried rice.

Lilladu Exchange Crockpot Tips

  • Keep in mind the size of your crockpot when choosing a recipe. Some of these are designed with really large crockpots in mind. I have a smaller one so will often cut the recipe in half to ensure that it all fits!
  • Also, a lot of the ingredients can be substituted to accommodate picky eaters!
  • Lastly, when choosing a recipe, try to stay away from meals that encourage all the sides and everything to be in that one pot- everything will have the same flavor.
