Beaches Turks and Caicos: Everything about this all-inclusive vacation is a homerun for families! In addition to the gorgeous backdrop of the crystal clear waters and beautiful beaches, Beaches features a Sesame Street theme that includes baking cookies with Cookie Monster, character breakfasts with the entire Sesame Street crew, nightly kids shows and even Camp Sesame which is a free camp that all kids ages 6 months and older are welcome to participate in with a certified and very caring staff. Certified nannies are available both day and night, allowing parents to enjoy the two spas on site, two gyms, nightly entertainment, a dozen a la carte restaurants and premium drinks served everywhere, any time. Our family, including our toddler and baby, loved the zero entrance pools, amazing water park and fantastic parade that the entire hotel comes together to enjoy.
Carolina Beach, North Carolina - 1 ½ hours from the Raleigh/Durham Airport and you have found yourself on a great beach the whole family will enjoy. Covered with beachfront houses that cater to larger crowds averaging 8 bedrooms in each rental, this is a great place for week-long family reunions or even a relaxed vacation with friends! The beach is clean and family friendly with shells to collect and waves to ride. During the summer, fireworks go off every week which is a great show you can see all the way down the beach and is worth keeping the littles up late to enjoy. Sit back, relax, cook your favorite meals in your own kitchen and have a great vacation together!
Iberostar Rose Hall Beach — Montego Bay, Jamaica - This 5-star, all-inclusive property sits on a private beach in Montego Bay and is perfect for the whole family to relax together. Parents can enjoy the spa and amazing scuba diving on site while kids can swim in their own pool and can participate in Lucy Kids Club, offered for children ages 4-12. Have kids younger or need babysitters for nighttime? Iberostar Ross Hall Beach offers private certified nannies and babysitters as needed for your toddler and babies.
Azul Beach Resort, Riviera Maya, Mexico - For a 5-Star all-inclusive family vacation, head south of the border to Mexico for a perfect location any new parent will appreciate with its boutique sized location, incredible butler service for all guests and Inclusive Baby Amenities including baby food, strollers, Pack N’ Plays, bottle warmers, monitors, and more so you can leave your worries behind. Toddlers will appreciate the Nickelodeon theme, with opportunities to eat breakfast with SpongeBob, Dora the Explorer and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as well as enjoying a gym for kids ages 4-12, a private kids playhouse with daily activities available, spa services for those as young as 5 and nightly entertainment. Parents, don’t worry – there is plenty to do, see and enjoy here for you as well including a dining experience unlike any other, water sports, a spa and gym for adults only. We also appreciated how close this location was to several Mayan ruins including Tulum and Chichen Itza though we suggest having one person stay back with littles as there is no shade at these locations which can be tough for their delicate skin.
Atlantis, Bahamas – This is probably the most well-known family vacation spot, famous for its pink towers and waterpark but we do suggest this spot for families with children ages 3+. Children ages 3 and up will enjoy the Sea Squirts program which allows them to learn about and feed baby sharks, sting ray and fish, as well as enjoy playing in the Paradise Islands kids club. There is nightly entertainment and an aquarium on site too and for those 48” and higher, the water park is the place to be! Parents will love the waterfront amenities, spa, gym, great restaurants and more. Also, as its very safe here, its easy to walk around the surrounding town and catch a bite to eat at a local restaurant.
Lilladu Exchange Tip: This location is not all-inclusive and on island prices, it can get expensive fast. Grab a cab ride to the local supermarket and pick up waters and some basic food to have in your room to save on hotel prices. Also, don't forget to pack the sunscreen (see our list of best sunscreens for toddlers).
